Defined areas where foreigners cannot buy property

From July 1, 2022, a new law comes into force, according to which foreigners will not be able to buy real estate and obtain a residence permit in 781 districts of the country. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Suleiman Soylu. Now citizens of other countries can buy real estate only in those areas where the number of foreigners is not more than 20% of the total number of residents. Alanya and even its most multinational area Mahmutlar did not fall under the ban. In Antalya, only two areas were banned for sales, where there are already more than 25% of foreigners, these are Muratpasha and Döshemealti.
