The effects of the Zero Waste Movement, initiated under the leadership of Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, are being seen in many areas.
Turkey is being taken as an example by different countries around the world for its Zero Waste practices.
A new application has been launched within the scope of the project.
DOA PROJECT LAUNCHED
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change launched the Deposit Packaging (DOA) application throughout Turkey on July 1st.
With this application, a 1 TL incentive is given for each plastic, glass and aluminum beverage container returned by citizens.
INTENSE INTEREST FROM CITIZENS
The project has been met with intense interest from citizens throughout the country.
Images recorded in different parts of Türkiye show long queues forming to use the application devices.

A new update regarding the project came from the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum.
The institution, noting that "Turkey's environmental mobilization is growing," shared the current statistics on its social media account.
MORE THAN 33 MILLION PACKAGING ITEMS COLLECTED
According to this, the number of packaging items collected since July 1st has reached 33,033,090.
On the other hand, it was reported that 2,331,984 citizens have also registered with DOA (Domestic Environmental Protection Association).
